Van Guilder leads Rittner Buam over Hafro SG Cortina, 9-1

Mark Van Guilder had four goals and two assists to lead Rittner Buam to a 9-1 victory over Hafro SG Cortina.

Van Guilder notched his first tally 7:17 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:24 into the first, at 11:27 into the second, and at 19:01 into the second.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Hafro SG Cortina faces elimination next time out.

Rittner Buam excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Rittner Buam additionally got points from Dan Tudin, who also registered one goal and two assists, Simon Kostner, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Luca Ansoldi, who also registered one goal and one assist, Emanuel Scelfo, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Brendan Cook, who also had one goal and three assists. More assists for Rittner Buam came via Fabian Ebner, who had two, Christian Borgatello, who had three, and Julian Kostner and Brad Cole, who contributed one each.

Penalties took their toll on Hafro SG Cortina, as its penalty kill unit let in three power play goals.

Andrew Engelage rejected 22 shots on goal for Rittner Buam. Rittner Buam incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hafro SG Cortina took out Martino Valle Da Rin after he had made 15 saves and installed Joni Puurula in goal, where he finished with 14 saves and the loss. Hafro SG Cortina incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
