Brenn Conrad went 1-2, sparking the Anchorage Bucs (17-17) to a 2-0 victory in five innings over the Matsu Miners (26-8) on Saturday at Mulcahy Field.
He doubled in the third inning.The Matsu Miners couldn't get anything going so long as Peter Lenstrohm was on the hill. The Matsu Miners managed just one hit off of Lenstrohm, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.
Trent Thompson had an impressive outing against the Anchorage Bucs' lineup. Thompson held the Anchorage Bucs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Billy Sanford improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Anchorage Bucs. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Brigham Hill (1-3) took the loss for the Matsu Miners. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
