A goal 4:45 into the first period by Dunn proved to be the game winner, and powered Lake Tahoe to the victory. Matt Petgrave provided the assist.

Team WHL's Tyler Bunz could not handle what the Blue threw at him, as Lake Tahoe netted its goals off of two.

The Blue were sparked by Dunn, who tallied one goal.

Lake Tahoe managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Blue ended up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Lake Tahoe's offense revolved around and Dunn, who put and one shot on net. The Blue could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Lake Tahoe puts an average of 5.7 pucks into the net per game. The Blue's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with one shot between them.
