TRYOUTS for 2019 Fall and 2020 Summer Teams Announced!!!
Date: Jul 8, 2019
Jackson made his commitment to McHenry County College, where he will join Bryce Toussaint on the Scots 2018 roster. Jackson is a senior at Nicolet High School and pitched this fall for MBA where during the Notre Dame tournament, he threw a perfect game. Jackson was lights out during the fall and hopes to have continued success during the summer and in the future at MCC. Jackson is a prime example of hard work paying off and we are very proud of him here at MBA. Here is what Jackson had to say about his time at MBA.
How do you feel that MBA benefited you as a player? The coaches at MBA helped a lot. They are all very smart and use their baseball intelligence to help players up their game. Also all of the extra work MBA allowed me to get done helped and continues to help me as a player.
What sets MBA apart from different organizations? MBA is extremely personal and the coaches really take time to get to know all of the players and build relationships. You don’t get that everywhere which makes MBA a really awesome place.
How did MBA help you through the recruiting process? All of the coaches at MBA have played at the next level which make them incredible resources to talk to about the recruiting process which is confusing to say the least. We also got to play in different places every weekend which was great for getting exposure to college coaches all over.
What was a highlight from playing with MBA? The close relationships that players build with coaches and each other that make MBA really feel like a family rather than just a baseball team. Everybody here wants to see each other be successful and it’s a really awesome atmosphere to be a part of.
What made you choose MCC over other schools? Mainly the high level of competition and their reputation for success. I feel like MCC has the potential to open a lot of doors for me down the road which was a big part of choosing MCC.
What do you plan on majoring in? Business
Where do you see yourself after 2 years ar McHenry? Hopefully playing at a Division 1 program, that’s always been the goal.
Were there an other schools you were considering? Yes, I was also looking into Madison College.
