Redmond leads the Piedmont Pride to 9-8 win over the Concord Weavers

An exceptional effort by Chandler Redmond spurred the Piedmont Pride (28-7) to a 9-8 win in seven innings over the Concord Weavers (10-24) on Thursday.

Redmond racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Piedmont Pride. He homered in the first and seventh innings.

The two teams combined for 17 runs and 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with seven pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Arien Seymour got his fifth win for the Piedmont Pride despite allowing five runs over one inning. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered four hits.

Daniel Kight (1-1) took the loss for the Concord Weavers. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked five and struck out two.
