Chandler Redmond had two extra base hits as the Piedmont Pride (24-6) took home a 9-5 victory over the Lake Norman Copperheads (9-19) in eight innings at Hough High School on Saturday.
He singled in the fourth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.A bright spot for the Lake Norman Copperheads in the defeat was Tyler Baker, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.
Pierce Suttles racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Willis Dobison improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Piedmont Pride. Dobison struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.
Devin Bagwell was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
Redmond, Bailey Montoya and Jake Moebius helped lead the Piedmont Pride. They combined for five hits and five RBIs.
