For Immediate Release - Your Fresno Monsters are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Eric Ahlberg from Sweden.  Ahlberg spent the 2014-2015 season between the pipes for Nacka HK J20 in Sweden’s J20Elit league.  

Last season in Sweden, Ahlberg earned a 3.87 is 7 games played while posting a strong 90% save percentage for Nacka HK.  Ahlberg gained notoriety with his strong showing at the EHL spring showcase in Boston this past summer helping his team advance to the finals.  Coach Dale feels that Eric will do well in net with the Monsters as they work towards defending their 2015 Western Division Championship throughout the season.

“Eric comes highly recommended from overseas and we believe he will be a strong addition to our team this year” said Head Coach Bryce Dale. “We are excited to have him come to Fresno to hone his goaltending skills and build upon our defense from last season.  We want to get better on a daily basis and in order to do so, we need to have competitive and hungry players that want to achieve more each day.  I know that Eric will bring that element to our backend."
