Date:  Source: WSHL Fresno Monsters Hockey Team

Carter Dahl has been an integral part of the Fresno Monsters since he first joined in 2012. Headed into the Las Vegas Showcase, Dahl has put up 4 goals and 9 assists during 25 games played. Unfortunately due to a concussion injury he was not able to travel with the team this week, but none the less, The veteran forward was kind enough to spend twenty minutes on the phone with James Karr, and answered some of our questions.

Where are you from and when did you start playing hockey?

I was born and raised in Fresno, CA. Started playing puck when I was about eight years old.

You recently got a concussion that prevented you from going to the showcase. How does it feel not being able to play this week?

I enjoy watching the guys play and seeing their talent from outside of the glass but just like anyone that has a passion for something… It's hard to sit back from going out and competing.

What is your focus during recovery?

Recovery is a time where I let my body rejuvenate itself and although it's hard to come to a screeching halt from one hundred to zero, it's necessary in order to get back to full health so that I can go out and perform my best on the ice.

What are you looking forward to the most about winter break?

Besides a full recovery, I'm looking forward to being with my family and seeing relatives that are coming into town.

What's your plans after the season is over?
