Nashville rips La Crosse, 4-0

The La Crosse Freeze had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Topeka Capitals.
La Crosse was led by Jack Sterne, who tallied one goal. Sterne scored 4:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 La Crosse. Jared Bromberg picked up the assist.
La Crosse additionally got points from Hunter Smith, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Tyler Gorniak, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for La Crosse included Alexander Rickoff and Austin Moser, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for La Crosse were Taylor Trapp, who had two and Hunter Dragosh, Justin Edwards, and Jake Lipski, who each chipped in one.
Topeka managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Capitals wound up below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. Topeka was held below its usual level of production. The Capitals average 3.9 goals per game.
