The La Crosse Freeze had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Topeka Capitals.

La Crosse additionally got points from Hunter Smith, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Tyler Gorniak, who also had one goal and one assist.
