Conrads nets hat trick, leads Breezy Point to 9-1 win over Yellowstone

Felix Conrads lifted the Breezy Point North Stars to a 9-1 victory with a hat trick against the Yellowstone Quake.

Conrads' first goal came 18:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:33 into the second and at 3:04 into the third.

Breezy Point forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and two majors for 34 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27.0 minutes per game the North Stars had been spending in the box. Breezy Point forced Quake's netminders to work all game long, finishing with 43 shots and forcing 34 saves. Sean Leahy made 19 stops and AJ Hill made 15. The North Stars' goal total was higher than their season average. Breezy Point averages 2.9 goals per game.

Breezy Point also got points from Brandon Endres, who also registered one goal and one assist, Jordan Carey, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Ryan Mezera, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Breezy Point also had goals scored by Crosby Steen, Alex Mimmack, and Joe Costello, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Kole Kobel, who had two and Nate Werhane, Linder Kenyon, and Tyler Larwood, who each chipped in one.

Yellowstone racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The Quake surpassed its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game.

Yellowstone also got a goal from Max Doner as well. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Averi Lison, who had one.

The North Stars' Levi Goosmann stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Breezy Point registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Yellowstone registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
