The Cornwall Colts had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the Gloucester Rangers.

Peter Angelopoulos was all over the ice for Cornwall, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Angelopoulos scored 15:18 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cornwall. Ross Craig assisted on the tally.

The Colts put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Gloucester to score on any of its three power plays.

Cornwall also got points from Marly Quince, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Lawson MacDougall, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tristan Conrad also scored for Cornwall. More assists for Cornwall came via Tristen Elie, Juan-Diego Hernandez, and Zac Tierney, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Gloucester finished below its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. The Rangers kept Cornwall's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brett Nichol made 40 saves on 42 shots.

Gloucester was helped by Jaren Burke, who had one goal. Burke scored 12:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Vincent Guimond picked up the assist. Gloucester additionally got points from Guimond, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Lucas Zwaagstra, who had one and Cameron Hughes, who had two.

The Colts incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Rangers' David Richer stopped 24 shots out of the 29 that he faced.
