Cole Skinner was superb between the pipes for the Smiths Falls Bears, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Hawkesbury Hawks.
Hawkesbury's power play was ineffective against Smiths Falls' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.
The Bears excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.
Smiths Falls was helped by Sebastien Barrette, who racked up one goal. Barrette scored 19:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Smiths Falls. Daniel Lombardi picked up the assist.
