Date: Oct 25, 2014
The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, have traded two members of its inaugural team to the Seattle Impact in exchange for cash considerations.
Jeff Bader and Eli Gordley, both natives of the Pacific Northwest, were sent to Seattle in the deal, made official today as teams prepare for the opening of training camp.
“This was a trade that made sense for all the parties involved,” said Bernie Lilavois, the Fury’s president and coach. “Both of these guys got a chance to go back to their hometown and play in front of their friends and families. We wish them the best of luck this season.”
Bader was a popular figure on and off the field for the Fury during the 2013-14 season. The defender was the only player to appear in all 16 of the Fury’s games, scoring 11 goals and adding four assists.
Gordley appeared in five games, scoring two goals before being sidelined by an injury.
