Early boost from Hale helps the Falmouth Commodores get past the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, 5-1


The Falmouth Commodores (2-0)'s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 5-1 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (0-2) on Friday at McKeon Park.

The Falmouth Commodores scored in the first on a two-run double by Conner Hale and an RBI single by Boomer White.

White racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Falmouth Commodores.

The Falmouth Commodores relied on Kevin McCanna to eat up innings en route to the win. McCanna allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out six over eight innings of work.

Chris Mourelle brought the heat against the Falmouth Commodores during his outing. Mourelle held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Blake Hickman (0-1) took the loss for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
