The Bourne Braves take out the Wareham Gatemen with help from Martin Jr, 5-0

Richard Martin Jr went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Bourne Braves (27-15) to a 5-0 victory over the Wareham Gatemen (14-27) on Monday at Doran Park.

He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

John Gorman pitched lights out for the Bourne Braves. Gorman held the Wareham Gatemen hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Liam OSullivan pitched lights out for the Wareham Gatemen. OSullivan held the Bourne Braves hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Max Knutson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bourne Braves. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Drew Harrington was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
