Oilers Corner: Jon Tatum to join coaching staff

Coach Tatum will join the Oilers Coaching staff for the summer of 2014. He is entering his third season as an Assistant Coach at UAPB.

Coach Tatum returns as the team’s Catching Coach where he will oversee former Oiler Mike Wieland, a 1st Team All-ABL selection this past summer, as well as work with the hitters plus assist with the Golden Lions recruiting efforts and summer placement of current roster members.

After one year at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, MS, Tatum transferred to Holmes Community College. From there, he chose to play his final two years at the University of Arkansas Monticello under the direction of current UAPB Head Baseball Coach Carlos James and John Harvey.
