Congratulations to Rachel Allen and Maggie Blair, former East Coast Eagles, on being selected to attend the USA Hockey National Camp!

Each year the top hockey players are selected to represent their district and age at this elite hockey camp.  Rachel and Maggie will represent the Southeast District which encompasses 8 states and the District of Columbia.  This is an opportunity for them to work with top coaches and players from across the country.

Rachel Allen was chosen as one of four players from the southeast born in 1999.  Rachel played the last two seasons with the East Coast Eagles.  She will attend Gilmour Academy in the fall, playing U19 girls hockey.  This will be the first fulltime girls team for Rachel.

Maggie Blair is the sole defenseman and one of three players chosen from the 1998 birth year.  Maggie played with the East Coast Eagles for two seasons, with last season spent with the Pittsburgh PensElite U14 girls team.  Maggie will also attend prep school and play hockey in the fall.

It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be a top hockey player.  We wish both girls luck at National Camp in St Cloud, Minnesota this summer.  We will be watching and wishing them great success in all their future endeavors!
