TORONTO, Ont. – The Canadian Women’s Hockey League is thrilled to announce that the CWHL Rinks to Links Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, August 22nd, 2016 at the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto.

“Joining our amazing athletes on the course this summer is just one great way to support the CWHL as it strives for the goal of paying these incredibly talented women to play the game they love,” CWHL Commissioner Brenda Andress said. “Each player has an incredible story of dedication, determination, and sacrifice that has led them to their position at the very pinnacle of our game.”

The 2016 CWHL Rinks to Links Women’s Golf Tournament is not only an opportunity for registered participants to rub elbows with top women’s hockey players, and hear their stories of facing off for Clarkson Cup, Olympic and world championship bragging rights but a continuing step in the CWHL’s commitment to connecting players with business leaders who can help build and guide their careers beyond the rink.

This year will mark the second year of the tournament which gives golfers, both male and female, the chance to play 18 holes alongside one of the current CWHL players including Clarkson Cup champions and Olympic Gold medallists, a league alumni or members of the 2016 CWHL Draft Class.

The four-person scramble format will begin with breakfast and a shotgun start at 9:30 am. After the golfing is complete, there will be a post-tournament reception at the golf course with a barbecue, silent auction and tournament prizing.

Not a golfer? no problem - Individuals also have the option to sign up for a golf clinic led by the pros at the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto and joined by players from the CWHL.
