MEDFORD, OR - After a record breaking 2015 season, the Medford Rogues are looking ahead to 2016, the first season in the Great West League. The 2016 roster is shaping up to include some fan favorites returning from the 2015 team, as well as some new additions including 5 Oregon Ducks. Returning for their fourth year, the team will be led by head coach Josh Hogan and pitching coach Jeff Lyle.
To date, seven Rogues from 2015 will be returning to Medford for next season: Derron Davis, Billy Fredrick, Brock Pradere, T.K. McWhertor, Jamie Flynn, Jalen Fuhriman, DJ Wilson and Kade Wagner. Jamie Flynn (Cornell), native to Ashland, will be returning for his third season with the Rogues. Flynn posted a 3.37 ERA in 2015 for the Rogues with 21 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched. Derron Davis, the lead off batter for the 2015 Rogues, was also a West Coast League All Star. Davis (Winthrop University) finished the season batting .286 with 12 stolen bases. DJ Wilson (Lane CC) was exceptional on the mound for the Rogues. Wilson had a 1.16 ERA for the summer, striking out 21 through 31 innings.
