Danny Roe headed to Marian University
The Whitefish Wolverines are proud to announce that Danny Roe will be attending Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, in the fall of 2015 to pursue a degree in nursing and to play hockey.
Let’s just say that the Marian coach and staff as well as Danny’s future teammates should be happy knowing Danny will be skating for them and not against. Roe was the Wolverines number one defenseman and team captain in the 2014-2015 season. He has been a part of the Whitefish hockey community for four years, and between his rugged, intense physical play on the ice and wonderful character off the ice, Roe created a real following and will certainly be missed.
Head coach Joakim Falt seeks players with a hard work ethic, and Danny is the type of player who gives one hundred percent every time he steps out onto the ice. His fierceness provided the fans with some real bone jarring hockey viewing. Roe is excited to begin this new chapter in his life and is particularly excited that he will reunite on the ice with his old teammate and best friend, Paul Kinder, who also accepted a spot on Marian’s hockey roster.
“Danny is a true warrior. The kid always gives his best, every single night. One thing that really stands out about Danny is that he loves the game,” stated Coach Joakim. “I will miss having Danny on my roster after being together for four years, but I wish him all the best.”
