TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2015, PORTLAND, OREGON – It’s time to name Portland’s new baseball team. Since the team really belongs to the fans, it seems right to let the fans name the team.

There are six nicknames to choose from. As the team represents Portland, the team will be referred to as the Portland (nickname).

Here are the nicknames to choose from:

Pickles, Red Dogs, Pliers, Mud Hounds, Pixels, and Posse.

Go to your new team’s website, www.portlandsbaseballteam.com, and make your selection. The winner of the Name Your Team Contest will win four season tickets for the team’s inaugural 2016 season. You can also make your selection by going to www.portlandtribune.com.

If more than one person selects the eventual team nickname, a random drawing will be held to select the winner. The contest ends April 10, 2015.
