FRASER, Mich. - Tory Shand netted two goals and assisted on another as the MC Monarchs routed the Michigan Ice Dogs 6-1 Saturday night at Fraser Hockeyland.

Adam Jonak added a goal and two assists and Trevor Pode tacked on a goal and an assist for MC.

Alex Anderson and Anthony Wojciechowski each scored once and Jarrad Vroman contributed three assists.

Newcomer Collin Fritch made 27 saves in the Monarchs’ net.

Brent Young scored the Ice Dogs’ only goal and Chris Boyd (pictured) turned aside 40 shots in the Michigan crease.

The Ice Dogs travel to play the Detroit Fighting Irish Sunday at 1:10 p.m.
