Falcons Win Their 4th Straight Game, With an 11-3 Victory Over Mavericks.

            The 1st place Falcons and the 4th place Mavericks faced off Tuesday afternoon. Falcon’s starter Luke Heyer (College of Central Fla.) set the tone for the team going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs and piling up 6 K’s. The Mavs only 3 runs came in the 5th inning from RBI doubles hit by Ryan Hagy (St. College of Fla.) and Luke Miller (ABAC), as well as a RBI single from Bobby Tarnapoll (Linfield College). Those would be the Mavs only 3 hits on the day. It wasn’t until the 6th inning when things really began to take off for the Falcons. The Falcons drew 6 consecutive walks in a row and received RBI singles from Jose Hernandez (St John Rivers St.) and Sjaghbar Martis (Monroe C.C.) to bust things open in the 6th inning. Martis would also come into pitch the last 2 innings and did not allow any hits to the Mavs. Tanner Thompson (Pasco Hernando) of the Falcons had a good day at the plate, collecting 2 hits and 3 RBI.
