RE: Spring Football underway in the Valley

The second season of Bantam 6-aside football kicked off this week with an all -Valley matchup.  The Fighting Irish (Green) got the upper hand on the Red Dogs in week 1 action.

The Valley is fielding two teams locally and participating in a provincial circuit of eight teams.   

This coming weekend the Valley will host teams from Bedford, Dartmouth and Timberlea starting at 9:30 AM in Canning (Updated schedule will be posted on www.valley-bulldogs.ca – Thursday April 24th)

In the other divisions Valley Minor Football will be running local 6-aside programs in association and with the support of Acadia Axemen Football. 

• The U11 – Atoms and U13 Peewees have had their first practice on April 7th,
• The U17 Midget program gets underway this coming week. 
• The younger Mite division are offering a skills camp that also started on April 7th

The programs will run through April, May and June.  The registration for Winter/Spring session is at approximately 190.  Valley Minor Football continues to have a strong presence on the Valley sports scene.
