Syracuse Stars had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Bay State Breakers.
The win gave Syracuse Stars a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.
Syracuse Stars was led by Zach Zerrahn, who tallied one goal. Zerrahn scored 11:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Syracuse Stars. Daniel Galvez assisted on the tally.
Syracuse Stars excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.
