Syracuse Stars had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Bay State Breakers.

The win gave Syracuse Stars a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Syracuse Stars was led by Zach Zerrahn, who tallied one goal. Zerrahn scored 11:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Syracuse Stars. Daniel Galvez assisted on the tally.

Syracuse Stars excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Syracuse Stars kept Bay State Breakers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jack Nebe made 47 saves on 54 shots. Syracuse Stars got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
