ECE Squirts Win Again

Date:  Source: East Coast Eagles Hockey Association

Coming off a surprising win in the Peewee B division in Hershey, PA., three weeks earlier, the ECE Squirt team headed for Charlotte, NC, for the Hemby Cup Midwinter Classic.  This time playing within their own division, it was win, win, WIN!  The young Eagles prevailed relatively easily against all the other teams, winning every game they played.  Goalie Cole Bigham also recorded his first shut-out of the season.

The championship game started out a little shaky for the Eagles and they found themeselves behind 2-0 in the first period. But things changed quickly as soon as the Eagles scored their first goal.  They never looked back and clearly wanted this win with a 4-2 finish to win the gold.  The Eagles notched 21 goals for the tournament and only allowed 3 goals scored against them.

So, it's time for these guys, their coaches and their parents to be recognized for a season that is continuing to be well-played, well-coached, and faithfully supported.

Congratulations to players Austin Allen, Cole Bigham, Scott Daniel, Tyler Davis, Joey Ellison, Holden Foster, Will Gaca, Nate Glenn, Matthew Herb, Matthew Lester, Gavin Love, Banks Morgan, Luke Norman, Parker O’Ferral, Ethan Ryan, Joe Stellman, Chase Williams, Coaches Frank Morgan (HC), Aaron Allen, and Bo Glenn
