Last Season... Played in the Western Elite Fall Prep League, a league comprised of the top Prep School hockey players, finishing 7th overall in scoring. Kyle was named a captain of the Salisbury Varsity Hockey team but his regular Prep School season was interrupted by injury. Kyle came back from injury and was awarded the Mills Award for Leadership & Commitment, and the Frank Garfield Medal for his contribution to the school’s athletic program. Kyle was a prefect at Salisbury School and graduated with Honors. More on Armstrong... Kyle was a member of the New England Championship Varsity Hockey Team at Salisbury School in 2009, scoring the game-winning goal in the final game. He was also a member of the Varsity Cross Country and Crew teams. While playing in Midget AAA for the Lac St Louis Lions, Kyle enjoyed playing on the top line and power play, recording 28 pts in 31 games during the season and 14 pts in 12 games in the playoffs … A highlight of the year was winning the TELUS Challenge where Kyle had 2 goals and 1 assist in the final game… He was awarded the ‘Medaille d’Or’ for academics....
