Brown leads Dorchester to shutout victory over ExeterDorchester Sun, Mar 20, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Riley Brown recorded a shutout against the Exeter Hawks as the Dorchester Dolphins picked up a 4-0 win. The win by Dorchester clinched the best of seven series at 4-3. The Dolphins' penalty kill excelled, as Dorchester gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Dolphins were led by Jay Ritchie, who grabbed one goal. Ritchie scored on the power play 2:45 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Dorchester. A head contact penalty on Jake Alkins had put Dorchester on the power play. Derek Todosichuk picked up the assist. The Dolphins stifled Exeter's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dorchester kept the Hawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Trevor Fleming made 35 saves on 39 shots. Dorchester also got a goal from Lucas Wilson as well. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Tyler Blue, Tyler Loucks, Chris Carreiro, and Patrick Freel, who contributed one each. The Dolphins were unable to stop Exeter from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hawks eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Brown rejected 44 shots on goal for Dorchester. The Dolphins incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Exeter incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
