The Dorchester Dolphins survived a determined comeback attempt by the Exeter Hawks on the way to a 6-4 win. A goal by Michael Blue put Dorchester up 6-2 in the second period, but Exeter pulled to within two on Chase Thornton's tally 32 seconds into the third period. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, the Hawks face elimination next time out. Alex Weaver had two goals to lead the Dolphins to victory. Weaver found the back of the net 1:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dorchester and again while 12:57 into the first to make the score 2-0 Dorchester. Dorchester forced Exeter's goalies to work between the pipes, getting 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. Trevor Fleming made 27 stops and Patrick Do made five. Dorchester additionally got points from Blue, who also registered one goal and two assists, Derek Todosichuk, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Ryan Tuffin, who also had one goal and one assist. Jay Ritchie also scored for Dorchester. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Chris Lindner, who had two and Chris Carreiro and Brett Van Dusen, who contributed one each. The Hawks kept the Dolphins' goalie busy throughout the game, and Riley Brown made 39 saves on 43 shots. Exeter was helped by Liam Melady, who tallied one goal. Melady scored on the power play 14:03 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Dorchester. A high sticking penalty on Blue had put the Hawks on the power play. Tyler Kettler assisted on the tally. Exeter also got points from Austin Carter, who also registered one goal and one assist and Thornton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Exeter also got a goal from Tyler Coleman as well. Other players who recorded assists for Exeter were Christian Petrozza, who had one. Dorchester incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Exeter incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
