The Exeter Hawks relied on the sparkling performance of Trevor Fleming in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Aylmer Spitfires.

The win by Exeter clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Hawks' penalty kill excelled, as Exeter gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

The Hawks were paced by Liam Melady, who finished with one goal and one assist. Melady scored short handed 13:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Exeter. Exeter was on a disadvantage when Austin Carter went off the ice for kneeing. Frasier Lewis picked up the assist.

The Hawks' offense rang up 41 shots on Aylmer's net.

Exeter additionally got points from Christian Petrozza, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Exeter also got a goal from Chase Thornton as well. Other players who recorded assists for Exeter were Brett Dalton and Max Naus, who contributed one each.

Aylmer was led by Jesiah Sweetland, who scored the team's only goal. Sweetland scored on the power play 13:30 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Exeter. A goalie interference penalty on Dalton had put the Spitfires on the power play. Jesse Tottle provided the assist.

Trevor Fleming made 43 saves for the Hawks on 44 shots. Exeter incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Andrew Harriman-Duke rejected 37 shots on goal for Aylmer. The Spitfires incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
