London's comeback falls short, Lambton Shores wins 4-3

The London Nationals almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Lambton Shores Predators managed to pull out a 4-3 win in the end.

Lambton Shores led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Predators' Matthew Philip scored at 5:18 in the second period to put Lambton Shores up 3-0.

The Predators were led by Cole Braney, who registered one goal. Braney scored 17:27 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lambton Shores. Marcel Berube provided the assist.

Lambton Shores additionally got points from Philip, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Lambton Shores included Connor Merritt and Andrew Kim, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Ethan Sarfati, who had two and Mike Zottl, Carson Pearce, Franco Sproviero, and C.J. Kusch, who each chipped in one.

London forced Lambton Shores goalie Anthony Hurtubise to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

The Nationals were helped by Max Vinogradov, who racked up one goal. Vinogradov scored 9:13 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Lambton Shores. Kyle Robinson picked up the assist. London also had goals scored by Isaiah Payne and Kevin Madden, who each put in one. More assists for London came via Derek Di Iorio, Alex Cimino, Brock Trichelo, and Brenden Trottier, who contributed one each.

Anthony Hurtubise made 46 saves for the Predators on 49 shots. Lambton Shores incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. London's Zack Weir stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Nationals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
