Caledon downs Penetang, 5-2

Jeffrey Ohashi racked up one point to lead the Caledon Golden Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the Penetang Kings.

With the win, Caledon avoided elimination to make the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series.

The Golden Hawks kept Penetang's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew North made 38 saves on 43 shots.

Caledon also got points from Daniel Cafagna, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Caledon included Kevin Pleasance, Matt Magliozzi, and Tyler Whitten, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Caledon were Ryan Mouser, Nicholas McNutt, and James Pitsadiotis, who each chipped in one.

Caledon was unable to stop the Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Penetang eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

The Kings were helped by Hayden Cole, who finished with one goal. Cole scored on the power play 7:07 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Caledon. Penetang had gotten the advantage when the Golden Hawks' Randy Chen was sent off for slashing. Matt Cochrane provided the assist. Craig Robinson also scored for Penetang. In addition, Penetang received assists from Nick Heins and Braeden Dorion, who contributed one each.

Sam Procopio rejected 42 shots on goal for Caledon. The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
