Tuck's big game bests Erin in 9-1 Alliston win

Behind a great game by Jacob Tuck, who had two goals and one assist, the Alliston Hornets defeated the Erin Shamrocks, 9-1.

Tuck's tallies came at 1:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alliston and 12:52 into the first to make the score 2-0 Alliston.

The win moved Alliston to down 2-1 in the best of seven series.

The Hornets forced Shamrocks' goalies to work all game long, ripping 64 shots and forcing 55 saves. Mark Terry made 35 stops and Tom Denstedt made 20. Alliston stifled Erin's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Alliston also got points from Devon Gillham, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Jackson Arcan, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Brady Martin, who also had two goals and one assist, and Mackenzie Flewelling, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ryan Lewis also scored for Alliston. In addition, Alliston received assists from Stephen Nosad, who had four, Gianluca Pallotta, Braydon Hogarth, and John Gage, who each chipped in one, and Mitch Livingston and Joe Cochrane, who contributed two each.

Erin also got a goal from Jesse Gunn as well. More assists for Erin came via Mike Nicolucci, who had one.

Mike Masucci rejected 17 shots on goal for the Hornets. Alliston incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Shamrocks incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
