Alliston falls to Erin in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Jesse Gunn gave the Erin Shamrocks a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Alliston Hornets when he scored 3:02 into the extra period.

The win gave Erin a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Shamrocks' penalty kill excelled, as Erin gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

The Shamrocks were led by Gunn, who racked up one goal and one assist.

Erin stifled Alliston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Others who scored for Erin included Mike Nicolucci and Alec Littlejohn, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Erin were Jeff Brown, Justin Wing, and Mike McCannell, who contributed one each.

The Hornets kept the Shamrocks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mark Terry made 36 saves on 38 shots.

Alliston was helped by Nick Arcan, who registered one goal. Arcan scored 7:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Alliston. Jackson Arcan picked up the assist. Mitch Livingston also scored for Alliston. In addition, Alliston received assists from Andrew Ceolin, who had one.

Erin incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Hornets' Tyler Brindle stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Alliston incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
