Dorchester holds on for 6-4 win against Lambeth

The Dorchester Dolphins survived a determined comeback attempt by the Lambeth Lancers on the way to a 6-4 win.

Dorchester made the score 6-2 on a goal by Chris Lindner at 14:41 in the third period, and Lambeth got as close as 6-4 when Cole Chilvers scored 19:52 into the third period.

The win by the Dolphins clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

Dorchester stifled the Lancers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Dolphins' offense rang up 45 shots on Lambeth's net. Dorchester got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

The Dolphins were led by Ryan Tuffin, who tallied three goals and one assist. More assists for Dorchester came via Derek Todosichuk, who had two, Tyler Loucks, who had three, and Jordan Fuller, Tyler Blue, Lucas Wilson, Alex Weaver, and Jay Ritchie, who each chipped in one.

The Lancers forced Dorchester goalie Matt Waller to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Lambeth additionally got points from James McHugh (APM), who also registered one goal and one assist. Lambeth also got a goal from Ryan Schmaltz as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Chase Campbell APM, who had one and Andrew Fletcher, who had two.

Waller rejected 28 shots on goal for the Dolphins. Dorchester incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ryan Wilson made 39 saves for Lambeth on 45 shots. The Lancers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
