Carreiro's big game bests Lambeth in 10-6 Dorchester win

The Dorchester Dolphins' Chris Carreiro had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 10-6 win over the Lambeth Lancers.

Carreiro's tallies came on the power play at 5:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dorchester and on the power play 14:17 into the second to make the score 5-3 Lambeth.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Lambeth faces elimination next time out.

The Lancers' six penalties came back to haunt them, as Lambeth let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

Dorchester kept the Lancers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Wilson made 49 saves on 59 shots.

Dorchester also got points from Derek Todosichuk, who also had one goal and four assists to lead the team in points and Ryan Tuffin, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Dorchester also had goals scored by Lucas Wilson and Brett Van Dusen, who each put in two and Tyler Loucks and Patrick Freel, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Jay Ritchie, who had four, Jordan Fuller, Michael Blue, and Alex Weaver, who each chipped in one, and Zach Robertson and Ryan Root, who contributed two each.

Lambeth was led by Andrew Fletcher, who grabbed three goals and one assist. Others who scored for Lambeth included Devon McInroy, James McHugh (APM), and Colin Baillie, who each put in one. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Taylor Helesic, who had two, Cole Chilvers, who had three, and Alex Bishop (APM), Tyler Woods, and Mike Frizzell, who each chipped in one.

The Dolphins took out Matt Waller after he had made five saves and installed Riley Brown in goal, where he finished with 17 saves and the win. Dorchester incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Lancers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
