Huge game by Primeau boosts LaSalle over London, 6-2

The LaSalle Vipers' Brett Primeau had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 6-2 win over the London Nationals.

Primeau scored at 10:08 into the first period to make the score 2-1 LaSalle and again while 5:20 into the second to make the score 3-1 LaSalle.

LaSalle's offense rang up 42 shots on London's net.

LaSalle additionally got points from Nathan Savage, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Nolan Gardiner, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Cale Allen also scored for LaSalle. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Liam MacDougall, who had two and Connor Matton, Matthew Doucette, Eric Kirby, Tyler Russell, and Blake Jones, who contributed one each.

The Nationals were held below their usual level of production. London puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. The Nationals kept the Vipers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Eli Billing made 39 saves on 41 shots.

London was helped by Austin Kemp, who grabbed one goal. Kemp scored 1:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 London. Tanner Ferreira provided the assist. London also got a goal from Kevin Madden as well.

LaSalle totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. The Vipers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Banwell was ejected from the game. The Nationals' Zack Weir stopped 36 shots out of the 42 that he faced. London totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. For the Nationals, Matt Doty was ejected from the game.
