Huge game by Anderson boosts Listowel over Brantford, 5-2

The Listowel Cyclones' Brady Anderson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-2 win over the Brantford 99ers.

Anderson got on the board by slotting home a goal 3:59 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Listowel. Jamie Huber picked up the assist. Anderson dished an assist on Huber's goal that made the score 2-1 Listowel at 1:23 into the second period. He then added assists on Kade Landry's goal at 8:20 into the third and on Huber's goal at 9:24 into the third.

Listowel forced Brantford goalie Tristan Lewis to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Listowel also got points from Landry, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Huber, who also had two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Caleb Warren also scored for Listowel. In addition, Listowel received assists from Blake Pickering, Austin Huizenga, Holdyn Lansink, and Chayse Herrfort, who each chipped in one.

The 99ers kept the Cyclones' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Fassl made 30 saves on 32 shots.

Brantford was helped by Macklin McPhee, who finished with one goal. McPhee scored 8:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brantford. Nick Visser provided the assist. Brantford also got a goal from Jack Phibbs as well. More assists for Brantford came via Matt Scanlin, Kyle Walker, and Nicholas Durajlija, who contributed one each.

Listowel incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The 99ers' Lewis stopped 41 shots out of the 46 that he faced. Brantford incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
