Davis' hat trick boosts Thorold over Pelham, 15-3

The Pelham Panthers could not stop the Thorold Blackhawks' Cal Davis, who tallied a hat trick in a 15-3 win.

Davis' first goal came 17:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:48 into the first and at 2:14 into the third.

Thorold led 5-1 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

Pelham was unable to stop the Blackhawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Thorold eventually piled up 61 shots on goal. The Blackhawks found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Thorold averages 3.0 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with six goals.

Thorold additionally got points from Jake Lloyd, who also grabbed two goals and four assists to lead the team in points, Francois Plamondon, who also registered one goal and two assists, Daniel Pugliese, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Nick Sacco, who also registered one goal and two assists, Colin Farrell, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Nathan Dosa, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Thorold included Anthony Merante, who had three and Quinn Geddes and Rick Eberhart, who scored one goal each. In addition, Thorold received assists from David D`Agostino, who had two, Griffin Roubos, who had three, and Brendan D`Agostino and Perth Swick, who each chipped in five.

The Panthers forced the Blackhawks goalie Josh Astorino to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Pelham was led by Zachary Plumb, who tallied two goals. Plumb scored the first of his two goals at 7:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pelham. Alex Gonyou assisted on the tally. Plumb's next tally made the score 8-3 Thorold with 17:46 left in the third period. Jeffrey Venzon also scored for Pelham. More assists for Pelham came via Spencer Comelli and Riley Hollowell, who contributed one each.

Astorino rejected 28 shots on goal for Thorold. The Blackhawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stephen Harvey made 46 saves for the Panthers on 61 shots. Pelham incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
