LaSalle survives London comeback, wins 5-3

The London Nationals tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the LaSalle Vipers held on for a 5-3 victory.

A goal by Manny Silverio put LaSalle up 5-2 in the third period, but London pulled to within two on Matt Doty's tally 18:30 into the third period.

The Nationals were unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and LaSalle eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. The Vipers struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays.

LaSalle was led by Daniel Beaudoin, who registered three goals. LaSalle also got a goal from Brett Primeau as well. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Cale Allen, who had two, Eric Kirby, who had three, and Liam MacDougall and Nathan Savage, who contributed one each.

London excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Nationals' offense rang up 33 shots on the Vipers' net.

London was led by Brenden Trottier, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Trottier scored short handed 7:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 London. The Nationals found themselves down a man on Tyler Sehovic's slashing. Kyle Robinson provided the assist. Rai Di Loreto also scored for London. In addition, London received assists from Austin Kemp and Scott Goodman, who each chipped in one.

Eli Billing made 30 saves for LaSalle on 33 shots. London's Zack Weir stopped 34 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Nationals incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
