Jake Brown netted a hat trick to lead the Caledonia Corvairs over the Niagara Falls Canucks, 11-3. Brown got on the scoresheet 5:32 into the second period. He then added goals at 16:54 into the second and at 5:37 into the third.Niagara Falls' power play was ineffective against Caledonia's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 19:11 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts. The Corvairs forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and four majors for 54 minutes in penalty time. More assists for Caledonia came via Johnathon Schaefer, who had two, Corey Pawley, who had four, and Ryan Moran, Mitch Graham, Ryan Punkari, and Todd Ratchford, who contributed one each. The Canucks were often in penalty trouble, totaling four minors and three majors for 63 minutes in penalty time. Niagara Falls surpassed its season average of 24.0 penalty minutes per game. The Canucks were led by Zack Lansfield, who racked up one goal and two assists. Lansfield scored 15:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Matthew Marsden picked up the assist.
