Huge game by Goodman boosts London over Sarnia, 4-0

Behind a great game by Scott Goodman, who had one goal and two assists, the London Nationals defeated the Sarnia Legionnaires, 4-0.

Goodman beat Aidan Hughes with a shot 1:31 into the second period to make the score 2-0 London. Jordan Di Cicco picked up the assist. Goodman dished an assist on Tyler Sehovic's goal that made the score 1-0 London at 11:42 into the first period. He added another helper on Austin Kemp's goal that made the score 4-0 London at 17:36 into the second period.

London forced Sarnia's goalies to work all game long, ripping 48 shots and forcing 44 saves. Hughes made 27 stops and Shayne Battler made 17. The Nationals' defensive effort looked to be improved. London averages 2.9 goals allowed per game.

London additionally got points from Kemp, who also had one goal and one assist. London also got a goal from Matt Bean as well. More assists for London came via Sam Harris, who had one and Tanner Ferreira, who had two.

The Legionnaires did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Sarnia averages 3.3 goals per game.

Zack Weir recorded 22 saves for the Nationals. London incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Legionnaires incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
