Behind a great game by Corey Pawley, who had two goals and two assists, the Caledonia Corvairs defeated the Welland Jr. Canadians, 8-3. Pawley found the back of the net short handed 6:33 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Caledonia and again while 13:23 into the third to make the score 8-3 Caledonia.Welland was unable to stop Caledonia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Corvairs eventually piled up 56 shots on goal. Caledonia's goal total was higher than its season average. The Corvairs average 5.8 goals per game. Caledonia additionally got points from Davis Brown, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Tyler Hill, who also had two goals and one assist, and Quentin Maksimovich, who also registered one goal and one assist. Mitch Graham also scored for Caledonia. More assists for Caledonia came via Ryan Punkari, Jordan Brown, Johnathon Schaefer, Jake Brown, and Todd Ratchford, who contributed one each and Austin Brown and Matthew Hore, who each chipped in two. The Jr. Canadians were helped by Steven Farano, who racked up one goal. Farano scored 19:01 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Caledonia. Jake Shaw assisted on the tally. In addition, Welland received assists from Matt Murphy, Jack Fitzgerald, and Adam Barron, who contributed one each. Caledonia's Mark Sinclair stopped 17 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Corvairs incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Brandon McCorriston made 48 saves for Welland on 56 shots. The Jr. Canadians incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
