Wall stymies Sarnia, Leamington wins 3-1

The Leamington Flyers relied on the sparkling performance of Tyler Wall in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Leamington was paced by Colin Moore, who registered one goal. Moore scored 4:23 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Leamington. Derek Elliott picked up the assist.

Others who scored for Leamington included Mark Manchurek and Liam Hogan, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Leamington were J.P. Grineau, who had two.

Sarnia's offense operated below its season average. The Legionnaires average 3.3 goals per game.

Sarnia was led by Jordan Fogarty, who scored the team's only goal. Fogarty scored on the power play 18:39 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Leamington. The Legionnaires earned a power play opportunity when Moore was put in the box for cross checking. Brock Perry assisted on the tally.

The Flyers' Wall stopped 29 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Leamington incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Shayne Battler rejected 23 shots on goal for Sarnia. The Legionnaires incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
