Waterloo rolls over Brantford, 6-2

The Brantford 99ers had trouble finding ways to stop the Waterloo Siskins, which beat 99ers, 6-2.

Waterloo was led by Brett Schaefer, who racked up one goal. Schaefer scored 7:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Waterloo. Thomas Haffner provided the assist.

The Siskins forced Brantford's netminders to work without much rest, taking 39 shots and forcing 33 saves. Will Rawski made 23 stops and Tristan Lewis made 10. Waterloo stifled the 99ers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Siskins found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Waterloo has scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

Waterloo also got points from Lucas Goodman, who also registered one goal and one assist. Waterloo also had goals scored by Anthony Pullicino, who had two and Connor Bodnar and Nate Schnarr, who each put in one. In addition, Waterloo received assists from Owen Kipke, who had two and Andrew Lane, Gary Mantz, Luke Gazzola, Nick Hirst, Matt Bourbeau, and Ryan Sparkes, who each chipped in one.

Brantford forced Siskins' goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 43 shots and forcing 41 saves. Mitchell Datz made 38 stops and Zach Weber made three.

The Siskins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The 99ers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
