The Listowel Cyclones tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Kitchener Dutchmen would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. Kitchener made the score 3-1 on a goal by Ryan Migliaccio at 2:48 in the third period, and Listowel got as close as 3-2 when Jamie Huber scored 13:59 into the third period. The Dutchmen's penalty kill excelled, as Kitchener gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Dutchmen could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game. Kitchener also got points from Matthew Cruickshank, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Carmine Vietri also scored for Kitchener. More assists for Kitchener came via Logan Schmidt, Owen Lane, Jason Willms, and Connor Cole, who each chipped in one. The Cyclones kept Kitchener's goalie busy throughout the game, and Luke Richardson made 30 saves on 32 shots. Listowel additionally got points from Brady Anderson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Listowel received assists from Jordan Caskenette and Ben Shelley, who contributed one each. The Dutchmen registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Tyler Fassl made 23 saves for Listowel on 26 shots. The Cyclones incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
