The Fort Erie Meteors beat the Welland Jr. Canadians, 5-2.

Fort Erie forced Welland goalie Chris Janzen to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

The Meteors were helped by Cody Petawabano, who registered two goals. Petawabano scored the first of his two goals at 16:55 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Fort Erie. Ben Evans picked up the assist. Petawabano's next tally made the score 4-1 Fort Erie with 17:20 left in the third period. Darien Kielb assisted on the tally. Fort Erie additionally got points from Bryce Martin, who also had one goal and one assist. Anthony Passero also scored for Fort Erie. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Dakota Miskolczi, who had one and Brayden Lachance and Danial Singer, who contributed two each.

Fort Erie was unable to stop the Jr. Canadians from sending pucks towards the net, and Welland eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

The Jr. Canadians were helped by Patrick Desjardins, who grabbed one goal. Desjardins scored 17:08 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Fort Erie. Tyler Stranges picked up the assist. Welland also got points from Bradey Johnson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Welland were Jack Fitzgerald, who had one.

Brayden Lachance made 31 saves for the Meteors on 33 shots. Fort Erie incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Janzen rejected 35 shots on goal for Welland. The Jr. Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
