Miskolczi nets hat trick, leads Fort Erie to 9-1 win over Pelham

Dakota Miskolczi netted a hat trick to lead the Fort Erie Meteors over the Pelham Panthers, 9-1.

Miskolczi got on the scoresheet 5:54 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:46 into the second and at 2:32 into the third.

Fort Erie's offense rang up 36 shots on Pelham's net. The Meteors found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Fort Erie averages 3.6 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Fort Erie also got points from Bryce Martin, who also registered two goals and one assist, Ben Evans, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Cody Petawabano, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Holden Garlent, who also had two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Darien Kielb, who had one, Danial Singer, who had two, and Anthony Passero, who had four.

The Meteors' Riley Daniels stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Fort Erie incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Stephen Harvey rejected 27 shots on goal for the Panthers. Pelham incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
