London uses big second period to beat Lambton Shores, 7-2

The London Nationals scored four goals in the second period to pull away from the Lambton Shores Predators and clinch a 7-2 win.

Scott Goodman quarterbacked London's offense to perfection and bagged four assists in the Nationals' win over Lambton Shores.

The Predators were unable to stop London from sending pucks towards the net, and the Nationals eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. London surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Nationals average 4.5 goals per contest.

London additionally got points from Kevin Madden, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Tyler Sehovic, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Matt Bean, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brenden Trottier, who also tallied one goal and one assist. London also had goals scored by Austin Kemp, Trevor Dulong, and Max Vinogradov, who each put in one. In addition, London received assists from Callum Ruddock, Scott Dorion, and Colin Wilson, who each chipped in one.

Lambton Shores excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Predators' offense rang up 32 shots on London's net.

Connor Hughes made 30 saves for the Nationals on 32 shots. London incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Lambton Shores' Anthony Hurtubise stopped 39 shots out of the 46 that he faced. The Predators incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lambton Shores ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and C.J. Kusch was ejected from the game.
