Lachance leads Fort Erie to shutout victory over PelhamPelham Meridian CC Fri, Jan 15, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The Fort Erie Meteors used a sparkling performance by Brayden Lachance to take down the Pelham Panthers, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Fort Erie's 3-0 shutout victory. The Meteors were led by Anthony Passero, who tallied one goal and one assist. Passero scored 8:00 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Fort Erie. Bryce Martin picked up the assist. Fort Erie forced Panthers' goalies to work between the pipes, firing 38 shots and forcing 35 saves. Stephen Harvey made 33 stops and Tyler Caruana made two. The Meteors excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Fort Erie also had goals scored by Troy Henley and Danial Singer, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Fort Erie were Holden Garlent, who had two. Pelham put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Fort Erie to score on any of its three power plays. Lachance recorded 25 saves for the Meteors. Fort Erie incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Panthers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
